Graham Paul is an experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) & Vice President, holding these positions in diverse industries in large complex corporations. Most recently he held a position on the Executive Team of the Canadian Wheat Board as CIO and VP of Strategic Planning. He was responsible for facilitating and leading the strategic direction and planning process for the corporation with the Board of Directors and Leadership Team of the organization. In addition, he was responsible for ensuring the CWB’s Information Technology program and infrastructure supported and met the changing business requirements of the organization.
Graham has over 30 years experience in large complex environments in the information technology, telecommunications, and airline industries. In these roles, he has over 12 years experience in senior executive leadership positions. His accomplishments included leading a comprehensive re-engineering and modernization of the IT environment and implementing a new IT business model. This included leading a complex negotiation process and overseeing a selective outsourcing business arrangement with a global outsource service provider. He has led the transformation of the corporate strategic planning process that was particularly challenging in a highly political and volatile environment.
He is a recognized and long-standing member of the IT community serving on the Board of Directors for the Information and Communications Technology Association of Manitoba (ICTAM), serving as a member of the Conference Board of Canada’s Council of Information Technology Executives and as a member of the Canadian Information Processing Society. Graham has been recognized for his ongoing commitment to develop and coach staff at all levels of an organization.
Currently he volunteers his talents in photography to various charitable organizations including the Children’s Wish Foundation, and acts as a mentor and coach for many rising leaders and professionals.
