Shannan has a proven track record of delivering effective solutions for an array of organizational challenges. With a passion for innovation and her ability to develop strong relationships, Shannan is often called upon by others at all levels of the organization to build new strategies, develop leading edge programs and effectively manage complex corporate change.
As part of an award winning HR team, Shannan most recently held the position of Manager, Learning and Organizational Development within People and Organizational Services for the CWB. As part of the HR leadership team, she collaborated on the strategic direction, design and delivery of a leading edge HR model for the corporation.
As a leader of the Learning and Organizational Development area, she led the execution of several initiatives that supported the CWB’s Corporate Strategic plan and the People Vision and Strategy. Shannan led the corporate culture initiative, the design and launch of a new integrated leadership development program for all CWB managers, and the integration of an assessment tool to enhance individual and team effectiveness across the organization, from the C-suite to support staff. She oversaw the development and execution of the CWB’s first employee branding strategy, and had a lead role in the development of the CWB’s recruitment strategy.
Shannan has vast experience in Organizational Effectiveness in both management and consultant roles in areas such as: strategic planning, succession planning, management and leadership development, individual and organizational assessment, and change management.
Shannan’s Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology provides a solid background in the research and best practices in the areas of Organizational Development and Human Resources. Her expertise and passion for research has led to publications in various psychology and human resource journals.
Shannan is also certified in the Prosci change management methodology, the Brantas assessment tool, and has extensive experience with developing 360 degree assessment tools and delivering assessment feedback to leaders.
Shannan has volunteered with the Human Resources Management Association of Manitoba (HRMAM) as a co-chair and member of the Program Development committee for two HRMAM conferences (2008, 2006) to help ensure the ongoing professional and leadership development in Manitoba’s HR community.
